DRIFTWOOD RV PARK
July 2008

Hi again folks,
Sorry for being a late with this news letter, but we have been a little busy. June was quite slow. I’m sure it was because of the fuel and weather. I was wishing that I had stayed in Yuma it was so cold here. It has finally started warming up and looking like summer around here.

For those of you that missed the 4th of July at the beach, I’m sorry for you. We had a great time and the City of Long Beach out did it’s self again with a grand display. Everyone seem to have had fun. I felt really bad to have turned away so many, but we only have so much room in the Park, and I don’t like to make it feel crowded with too many people. We do take reservations a year in advance, so you might consider saving your place early instead of missing out next year. If you can, plan ahead for your stay at Long Beach and get your reservations in early. We don’t want you to be one of those we have to say SORRY, were full.

We still have Sandsations coming on the 25 & 26 , the Long Beach Rodeo on the 26 & 27th., and Labor Day events. We still have room for more guests if you are thinking of coming for any of those events. If you have never been to a sand castle building contest, you’ve miss some great fun, and our Rodeo is said to be one of the best around. People always have a great time on Labor Day down here.

We are offering a 15% discount for those of you that wish to stay 7 days or more. We also have as summer rates for those who would like to leave their RV at the beach. Both Ron and I live here at the Park and we keep a pretty good eye on things for you. Once your RV is here, then you can drive your car, which gets much better mileage than your truck or RV, and be able to enjoy the beach, and your RV, anytime you wish at a cost that you can afford.

The latest report, in the Chinook Observer, says that the Razor clam population is still increasing in the Long Beach area. We hope to see some of you down here when they open the Razor clam season this fall. We are still open all year and can send you an e-mail, letting you know of the next opening for digging, if you wish. Just contact us and give us your e-mail address and we will add you to our list. We get our information directly from the Dept. Of Fisheries, thanks to my bookkeepers husband, and can get it out to you the same day. Same thing goes if they decide to close a dig for any reason.

One more thing, our Reservation Form on our web site is a secure site. We use a 128 encryption to protect your information for you. We check our e-mails several times a day and will get back to you promptly, letting you know if we have space for your stay.

Let us know what you think of our news letter. We are always open to suggestions and will respond to all e-mails.

Sincerely,
Scott and Crew

Happy camping
